LO1) Describe the objectives and main models of neuropsychological assessment (NA) LO2) Understand the general principles of NA that ensure its effectiveness, as well as the limitations of the inferences that can be drawn from AN results LO3) Reflect on the role of the neuropsychologist in NA and its ethical principles LO4) Perceive the validity assumptions and psychometric parameters of NA tests LO5) Discuss procedures to identify simulation and insufficient effort in the NA process LO6) Design the clinical interview based on the clinical referral LO7) Identify, through observation, subtle symptoms and atypical presentations in the assessment process LO8) Recognize factors that can influence the NA and evaluate their consequences for the validity of the AN OA9) Distinguish cognitive screening tests and comprehensive neuropsychological assessment batteries, reflecting on their applicability

the oral presentation with the support of audiovisual materials (TM1) aims to provide students with relevant theoretical knowledge that allows them to adopt an active and evidence-based attitude.Practical activities will be developed focusing on the development of transversal skills to the clinical context and critical reasoning. Specifically, literature review and critical analysis of scientific papers in neuropsychological assessment (TM2), interactive dialogue (TM3) and debate (TM4) about the state of the art will be promoted, as well as critical reasoning about the limitations and potentialities of currently available and validated materials for the practice of neuropsychological assessment. In order to consolidate knowledge regarding the conduct of a clinical interview (before further exploration of neuropsychological assessment tests for different age groups in Neuropsychological Assessment II), role play exercises of the interview situation will also take place (TM5).
