The following may applly for the Master' s degree: a) holderes of a bachelor's degree in law; b) holderes of a foreign academic degree in law awarded after a 1 st study cycle in Law, organized according to the Bologna bachelor's degree in law; c) holderes of a master's degree in law; d) holderes of a foreign academic degree in law awarded after a 2 st study cycle in Law, organized according to the Bologna master's degree in law; e) holders of a scientific or professional curriculum in criminal law area acknowledged by the due body of ULP certifying the capacity to obtain the present study cycle.

Knowledge, abilities and skills to be acquired
* Understand the subjects of the different UCs and apply the knowledge acquired in solving legal-practical problems and reflect on them critically; - to deepen the understanding of the penal-legal norms, according to the general theory of the criminal infraction and all that concerns the Portuguese punitive system; - to intensify the guiding principles of criminal proceedings, especially as regards evidence and appeal, in order to deal with and reflect on such matters in legal practice; - Understand the importance of Portuguese contraordenacional law and its dogmatic principles and categories, as well as the European sanctioning system; - Know the problems of international criminal law and know how to solve them according to its norms and be aware of a set of human rights and their importance. * Develop the capacity for legal reasoning on the issues taught; * Deepen the oral criminal-legal discourse in the same argument.

Infrastructure and Equipment
Classes will take place in a classroom equipped with a state-of-the-art multimedia system, at the facilities of the Universidade Lusófona do Porto. Students have at their disposal a library, a research room for the master's degrees, a canteen and bar and have tutorial and advisory support from all teachers.
