Objectives
Objectives
The aim is for students to acquire knowledge of European Law (EL), with a special focus on the sanctioning aspect that it increasingly presents. This aspect, although not resulting from a criminal jurisdiction originally attributed to the EU by the Member States, has been gaining prominence through the integration and harmonization mechanisms (negative and positive) resulting from structuring principles (prs) of the EL, the most visible example being the ED of competition. Students will understand the principles governing the sanctioning ED, its interrelations with national legal systems and with more concrete specific knowledge and will know how to apply them in the field of the EL of competition.
