Swami Jyothirmayah, a member of the Art of Living Foundation for over 27 years, highlights meditation as an essential tool for mental health and overall well-being. He explains how this practice reduces stress, stimulates creativity, and boosts innovation, making it a valuable resource for modern life.
UNESCO has recently declared World Meditation Day, drawing attention to the growing mental health crisis, with depression affecting between 35% and 37% of the European population. During his participation at COP 29 in Baku, Swami emphasised that emotional balance is crucial for people to contribute positively to the environment and society.
Additionally, he recommends simple habits for a more harmonious life, such as setting aside a few minutes daily for silence, smiling more, and practising acts of kindness without expecting anything in return. According to him, the key to a fulfilling existence is living in the present, cultivating gratitude, and turning each day into a celebration.
