    The Master's in Industrial Engineering and Management (MEGI) is structured in accordance with the highest international teaching standards and a strong component of innovation in the area of Operational Research, Data, Process and Asset Management. In this way, it provides a foundation for knowledge and skills, as well as reflection on changes in Industrial Engineering and Management, supported by information technologies. With strong links to industry and R&D institutions, it is the natural complement for those wishing to extend their studies with a 2nd cycle, with the aim of obtaining a higher level of specialisation and access to higher levels of professional recruitment, meeting the needs of the market.

    Admission Conditions

    You can apply for the cycle of studies leading to a master's degree: a) Holders of a bachelor's degree or legal equivalent in Engineering, Management and related areas; b) Holders of a foreign academic degree awarded following a 1st cycle of studies organised, in those areas, in accordance with the principles of the Bologna process by a State adhering to that process; c) Holders of a foreign higher academic degree, in those areas, which is recognised as satisfying the objectives of the degree of licenciado by the statutorily competent body; d) Holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum recognised by the competent statutory body of Universidade Lusófona as attesting to their ability to complete this cycle of studies. Selection criteria Candidates holding a Bachelor's degree or legal equivalent (from a national or foreign organisation) with a classification of the previous qualification on a scale of 0-20 points: - 30% Classification of the most relevant previous qualification - 40% Score for the affinity of the previous qualification with the 2nd cycle to which you are applying - 30% Curricular assessment score Applicants with a Bachelor's degree or legal equivalent (by a foreign organisation) without a classification or with a classification of the previous qualification on a scale other than 0-20: - 40% Note on the affinity of the previous qualification with the 2nd cycle to which you are applying - 60% Average mark for the curricular assessment which includes an evaluation of the previous qualification. Applicants who do not hold a Bachelor's degree or legal equivalent but who have an academic, scientific or professional curriculum recognised by the Evaluation and Assessment Committee as attesting to their ability to complete the cycle of studies: - 60% Curricular assessment score - 40% Interview or Admission Test

    Who is this course for?

    Recent graduates, workers with training and/or experience in engineering, management or similar areas, who wish to develop integrated skills in: 1) Operational Research; and 2) Data, Process and Asset Management.

    - Apply scientific, technological and management knowledge independently, proactively and creatively to develop solutions to complex problems; - Work individually or as part of a team in industrial/scientific contexts, with the ability to approach, reason and solve challenges, as well as communicate with specialists and non-specialists; - Lead and develop innovation and research projects in a business and/or academic context, being able to pursue doctoral studies.

    Career Opportunities

    Through collaboration with companies and ID institutions, MEGI implements a programme designed to guarantee a high degree of national and international employability, with an emphasis on: Administration or decision-making support, in public/private organisations, in systems and process management, production management, logistics, asset management, quality management and industrial safety, information systems and technology management, financial analysis, or management control. Academic background in higher education institutions and R&D centres.
