"Ugly" fruits and veggies... NOT!
An innovative educational program for sustainable consumption and reduction of food waste.
03.05.23 - 10h14As part of the ERASMUS Project “Ugly” fruits and veggies... NOT!, we would like to share with everyone an example that we consider positive.
On the Campus of Lusófona University, in Lisbon, we encourage consumer proximity to agricultural producers. Every week we have the possibility to buy, directly from the producer, fruit and vegetables, in prepared baskets that offer a varied set of products, including specimens of fruit and vegetables classified as “ugly”.
Everyone who usually takes the baskets mentions the excellent quality of the products and highlights their flavor. The producer thanks you and the environment too!
We all win by contributing to the reduction of food waste.
We invite you to “like” and learn more on the project facebook page.
