
Doctoral student honoured with SPMI Prize
Lusófona doctoral research honoured by the Portuguese Society of Internal Medicine
Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
Joana Caetano, a medical doctor specialized in Internal Medicine and a student in the PhD Programme in Health Sciences (a joint programme between the University of Alcalá and Universidade Lusófona), has been awarded a prize by the Portuguese Society of Internal Medicine (SPMI).
The award recognises the work developed as part of her doctoral research project, initiated in 2024, under the supervision of Luís Monteiro Rodrigues (researcher at CBIOS – Universidade Lusófona) and José Delgado Alves (NMS and Internal Medicine IV, Fernando Fonseca Hospital – ULS Amadora Sintra).
This distinction highlights the scientific excellence of the clinical research carried out at Universidade Lusófona and the growing impact of its doctoral programmes in the health sciences field.
