The researcher at CICANT and lecturer at the Department of Cinema and Media Arts at Lusófona University, Hugo Barata, is the author of a chapter accepted for publication in the book *Unveiling Diverse Heritages of Otherness*, published by Springer.

Entitled "In the Flick of the Finger: Networked Otherness in War and Conflict Through Artistic Creation", the chapter explores how artistic creation within media arts contributes to reimagining and questioning dominant representations of war and otherness.

Through works that make use of video, found footage, and fragile imagery, the author offers a critical reflection on the role of art in constructing counter-narratives during times of conflict and in the digital age.
